Worm World Cave – V9 ↓
Description:
Start in the middle of the overhang. Right hand on decent pinch and left hand on a flat edge. Big first move to a crescent-shaped edge then an intricate top-out.

egormaksimenka: I found that I never needed to match or toe/heel hook. Just press hard on the right toe for the move to the fin. -
Namgiao Le: Go directly from the pinch match to the meat hook. -
Samuel Martin: if you're tall, start with the low foot out left. Some core tension and length makes the first move easy. -
Zach Y: Put a left foot in the good spot and right toe pressing around the arete to keep the feet on when hitting the first move. Move out to the fin was the crux for me, but getting a left foot on the right starting hand made it possible. -
Aidan Pinsk: Imagining "squeeze and pull up" helped me stick the first move -

marcosanelli: Used the right heel and double right hand bump start instead of the desperate left deadpoint. -
Tiffany Melius: Get the toe hook real good., keep weight right to start and counteract the swing.

tristanwilliamploughman: Most people go left to the crimp rail, I start with a right heel hook instead and go right hand to a poor pinch then bump into the rail and match. This method offers far more control but the match is very hard, heel does not like to stay. Make sure you get the pinch past the crimper high and don't underestimate the move off to the fin.

Tried this on and off since 2019. I was strong enough to do the first move back in 2023 but couldn't do the top. After sorting out my beta for the top, I felt strong on the start today and it went on my second bottom burn.

So many ways to do the first move. Opted for the left foot on the big hold at the bottom left side and did it without cutting feet. This beta worked best for me. Maybe one I’ll do the jump beta. Really fun movements! -

Goal of the trip to start probably my best single day of climbing ever. Squamish in late November is magic for friction. I start with a high left foot to do this problem, surprised I rarely see people use that foot option.

Crux for me was the bump out to the fin's arete, not the first move. Fell off the arete move 10 times before managing to stick it and top out. -
