Truly one of the best in the Glen. Learning to heel hook here introduced an entirely new game for me.

I am embarrassed to admit how many times I’ve tried this boulder over the years. More mini sessions than i can count. Turns out - i did not know how to properly heel hook before! I never really knew that I need to ACTIVELY pull HARD on my heel, in order to use it or even make it stick. Since I realised (last session) this seemingly glaringly obvious lesson, it took me 7 additional attempts (3 attempts last week and 4 attempts today) to send. The reason it didn’t go back last week is I wasted a lot of time uselessly throwing to the hold (before the 3 good attempts) which resulted in mild finger pain that I didn’t wish to aggrevate. However last session was mega close since I dropped the easy part. I am SO grateful that this climb exists as it forced me to confront a huge weakness of mine and the troll did not let me cross the bridge until I solved the riddle. Although it hurts to say, the assigned grade of V6 felt accurate. This was by far the most value I’ve derived from any boulder problem.

2 years, 20+ sessions, 500+ burns. Can’t believe the nemesis finally went today, it is an indescribable feeling to complete a task you’ve been working on for so long. Will save the dialogue for my journal but huge thanks to the crew for sticking by me and supporting me through every session. I sincerely believe y’all are the best and most supportive crew on this planet… you heard it here first. Couldn’t have done it without y’all. THE HEEL HAS BEEN LEARNED SON
