The Stand – V5

Description:

There's some confusion about this problem. The 2004 guidebook reads: "10 feet of left arete on opposing sidepulls. Move to a crappy sidepull with right hand and climb to top. Finish at the peak." If you followed the line as described in the 2018 guidebook (sit start, traverse right, then climb up), please see The Stand Traverse.

Uncomfortable but not hard. The 2018 guidebook line. Going straight up would be a way nicer line.

Did the newer traverse version. Will try the straight up line someday.

Scrunchy beginning, felt easy for the grade

Did traverse per the guidebook. Flashed. A fun climb on an ugly wall. I have no business flashing V5s after not climbing for 3 months though. Soft.
