Description:
Immediately RIGHT of Near Miss (the first climb you encounter on the approach trail) at First Cave. NOTE the second edition of Bow Valley Rock has an error and says this route is LEFT of Near Miss. This is incorrect. The two climbs are side by side. Near Miss (10a) is on the LEFT. Brown Star Cowboy in on the RIGHT. Adds another 5.10- route to the area. Climb through two bulges then up nice rock above. Put an extendable draw on at least the 4th bolt to minimize rope drag above the second bulge. I was up there May 1, 2018 and did a pile of more cleaning and added 1 bolt above the second bulge to make it easier on the brain. -NB

2022-06-11True to grade and sustained, a few fun roofs to pull. Well protected. There was a large rock fall incident on this route (one of the other climbers in our group knocked a large foothold off) so beware of choss at this crag! -
