Acephale is a steep and difficult limestone crag near Canmore. You will find Short (15-25 meter) HARD routes here, although a few longer routes can be found at the Lower Wall. Difficulties range from 5.11 to 5.15b. This cliff is home to the some of the hardest climbs in the country.
Drive east on highway 1 towards Calgary. After the Lac Des Arcs turn off about a half mile further there is a pull off in the ditch where cars will be parked. There is a faint trail in the trees, follow it, then go right at the cut line then left shortly after. Keep right at the fork and follow the trail to the cliff.
