Close your eyes and dream for a moment: a mist filled valley, the moist air surrounds you, the forest is silent save for the soft sounds of your footsteps as you walk the last few paces towards climbing nirvana, you look up and see it, the thing you have come all this way for, trained all winter to build up the confidence just to attempt this once in a lifetime route; Badger Crack. A straight black line splitting the cliffside in two perfect halves, it's anchor barely in sight. You know now everything was worth it. You can't tie in fast enough, your double rack clinking softly on your harness are the only sounds in the forest. The time has come, you nod sternly to your partner. One deep breath to calm yourself. You begin climbing. Please dear reader, don't miss out on the chance to try this line, think of your children and their children after them, do this line for them.

  Ever since starting climbing i've dreamed of going down to Yosemite to experience a true 5 star splitter crack. Luckily for me that dream came true in the Bow Valley of all places. I couldn't be happier with such a beautiful crack climb in the most unlikely place.

  Life. What do you say about a climbing life. I've climbed for 35 years, and I thought I had seen all that climbing had to offer. Then: Badger Crack. I had feelings, adrenaline, body awareness unlike any route before. 6 out of 5 stars. Thank you ch'thulu for this line.

  Years ago, while climbing on El Cap, I felt I needed something... more. Last year, I moved north to climb the many splitters of the Bow Valley. Today, I realized what it was that had eluded me for so long - the Badger Crack. Comparable to some of the best lines I've seen, like Pyromania in the Needles, or the Salathe Headwall, but better.

  I have long dreamt of taking a trip to down to Yosemite to experience some of the best big-wall cracks on the planet...I no longer need to make that trip....I have experienced The Badger Crack! Climb it on gear if you want the full experience. A bit sandy at 5.7, classic!

  Imagine, if you will, taking the best splitter crack from Yosemite and transporting it into the Bow Valley. This is not that crack. This is the new way to enjoy Pandora, Conception, Eidolons and Gumbino Invasion. Mind the poo and choss, but enjoy less rope drag. 60m rope easily gets you up and down w a bit of caution. AKA Hanta Crack.
