  I didn't want to climb the arete because it seemed like then you should just rock up on to the start hold and climb the slab. So I climbed the overhang instead. Not saying that makes the boulder V9, but what I did wasn't V8. It just seemed cooler that way ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
