patcampbell: I used a high right heel to start and put my left foot on the big block down and right. After sticking the gaston, easily mind you, I switched the heel to a toe and stood up on it. Tried it a few times the way I saw others do the first move and it looked desperate. I also was able to stem wide and bring my right foot high against the right wall while my left was down on the big sloping ledge.

Maybe I'm less flexible than I thought or this does not fit my style but even post break I found this kind of hard.. Or maybe I was just tired at the end of the session. -

Sent just before the day star could destroy us with its heat rays. I’m 99% sure the sidepull on start hold wasn’t there when I tried this a few years ago. Opening move was much less difficult than I remember.

v5 Post break beta, the new incut side pull makes it 1000% more enjoyable. Surely the OG line still goes the same if you eliminate the side pull, perhaps a different name and grade is in order?

Post break with new sidepull might be V5 or V6. Proposing new name "off the chair"

Hold broke on the start so climbs differently now (if you use the broken piece). Way easier now but also a more pleasant climb post break. -
Post break no harder than V5. Is off the couch even an apt name anymore? -

2018-09-13First move wasn't my crux. Just need flexible hips. Something about scrunchy turds... they just work for me. -
Did this pre-break and it felt hard for 7.

Gaston in to the first hold looks awesome. Shoulders. Great sequence of crimps to a top out that could be cleaner. Big secure feet. Good climb.

Make sure you take a rest right after the sharp crimps, before topping out --> aka the reason I blew the flash. -

Really cool gaston hold and nice movement. The start hold is pretty disgusting though. I doubt I would stand a chance on this in the summer. Use brushes, people!

2016-03-27First move can be a soul destroyer. I could not, for the life of me, get more than two fingers on the next hold. But! It went down and I swore and was a happy little climber person. :)

Dabbed on the flash go, then took way more tries than it should have to finish it off.
