Probably the hardest boulder I've done so far. Wouldn't be surprised if this thing is actually 11, will compare once I've done the right. Got really close last week despite a seepy seem and a desperate attempt to dry it with tissue paper. Shout out to Andrei and Evan for coming out here with me for the send!
climbing is so mental! After a month long trip to Leavenworth I came home a bit early to try and send this thing. The first day back on it I had a high point and felt like i could for sure do it until I looked at my skin and realized it had shattered. Regardless I believed I could do it and sent a couple days later with a couple tips taped up. I am really interested in learning how to tune my mental game a bit better. That is a long conversation though!
Tried with Jared one afternoon earlier this year and was completely unpsyched. Came back to the area with Kim and was able to put it together in about 45 mins. Sweet! High star movement, but I can't get psyched on this area 😫
I'm taking the old guidebook grade,. I'm on vacation! This turned into an epic battle. A day of punting, bad conditions, and an anti-Nate redpoint crux had me teetering on the edge of some epic wobblers.
Amazing problem and a really cool sending experience. Got it first try of my 4th day, climbing solo. I climbed the left finish which I believe is the original standard finish. I'll have to come back for the right another time. My first V11! or is it...
