Cougar Canyon is a major limestone climbing venue situated on the sunny slopes above Canmore. Climbing ranges from steep, juggy limestone to technical vertical faces, with routes generally spanning single to moderate multi-pitch lengths. Access involves a noticeable uphill approach from the valley floor, which helps thin out the crowds found at more roadside locations.
