A nice cool crag compared to the amphitheater. The walls are East and West facing, so they only get a few hours of sun in the afternoon. There is often a steady breeze to keep you cool.
Please be careful hiking up the scree, as it can be very loose. For this reason, please do not bring a dog (or other pets) into the Chasm.
From the normal climbing parking lot, take the other overgrown logging road (on the right as you drive into the lot). Keep walking until you come to a trail up the bank to the left. Follow this trail until it reaches some slabby bluffs, then keep climber's right along the base of the bluffs until you reach a scree slope. Follow the fixed line up into the Chasm from here. If at all possible, please refrain from knocking rock down the scree slope, as the cottagers below are nervous of property damage from rock fall.
