Barrier Mountain, arguably one of the best early and late season venues in the Rockies. Its bright, wide open aspect catches sun during the heat of the day, which makes it the perfect crag to shake off the winter rust and prepare for the upcoming climbing season. The cliffs feature great views with a pleasantly short approach, and the nature of the climbing is predominantly vertical. Grades range from 5.7 to 5.12d, and technically demanding cruxes are the name of the game.
