The three great rests were a recipe for success!

First try this trip but fell on it 3 times last trip.

Took me two tries - was going for the onsight but fell on the slab move on the lower section, kind of frazzled so went bolt to bolt for info. Got it late in the afternoon once the sun came around to lend me some of its warmth.

Happy to send, but a little disappointed I blew the onsight right at the top. However, I did get to experience this route twice and the climbing definitely is phenomenal.

Super fun pulls on good holds. A cool lay-backer hold down low and even a bit of a dyno mid way (for style). Loved this route.

First day back at the red and had the whole drive-by crag to ourselves. Well until Vikki and Tom showed up. Muscled my way through the crux without elegance but clipped the chains first go!

Crimpy crimpy! The proper crux wasn't too bad for me, but I had a bit of a struggle up top. Reminded me of Smith Rocks.

Busy day at the crag so had to warm up on this. Luckily had sunshine to help combat the numb fingers. Great route with lots of options.

First time at the Darkside. Had a great Flash attempt, but numbed out a bit and fell just past the 5th bolt going to the good holds. Was able to pull it off 2nd try but was redlined the entire way to the good rest - could have fallen off at any point on the "easier" moves. Psyched to have enough fitness to send this 5th climb of the day!

First send out of the Madness Cave! Felt really good with Josie's awesome beta. She got the send today too!

Hardest route I've done so far at the Red. Got it third go. Thanks to Tom from Idaho for showing me some sweet heel-toe resting beta.

First hard route of the trip. Close to onsighting, but the upper pumpy crux got me.

Tried this yesterday and fell just before the anchors on my redpoint burn. Had dinner plans so had to leave early. Came back this morning for the send!

My hardest onsight ever. I'd say you don't know how to climb until you've sent this. Took me over 30 minutes. Hung out at the top "thumbdercling" forever, then almost fell trying to match, but was able to keep it together just enough to reach the thank-fucking-god-it's-over hold. Epic.

Ya, but did you hear about the other guy who onsighted Fourty Ounces!?

Amazing rock! Only 5°C today, but climbed in the sun with just a T-Shirt. Great conditions and quality beta were the ingredients for this flash. Would climb this again for sure.
