Young At Heart – 5.11b

18m / 59ft, 8 bolts

Description:

Also known as Forever Young, with the real name being remembered wrong by the previous authors. Stick clip the first bolt. Fun climbing with some big moves. The naming confusion has caused some people to refer to this route as Forever Young at Heart (For an old fart).

Was often used as a variation start for Train in Vain and Fear in Loathing, eliminated the need to place gear on those lines, prior to them being bolted to the ground.

FA: Karl Seidenschmid (1994)

The crux sequence on this took me an unreasonably long time to nail down. Great route though!

Blind and reachy roof pulls made for a scary first attempt! Felt great on the second go.
