  Took a bit longer than I would have liked, and definitely needed the cheeky stem rest up top. Starts with a steep boulder problem, then sustained climbing to the rest.

  to get stronger for this project I took creatine in the offseason and gained 7lbs, not sure if that helped, haha, but this grade was my limit. sustained boulder moves, definitely my anti-style, i'm not a boulderer and have never sent a V4, so I had to be quick and precise on every move. used all the rests at the beginning and at the end, with the knee hug in the middle which wasn't really a rest, but definitely helped for the crux.

  The start is a stiff moonboard problem if you lack reach from good hold to good hold. Consistently not easy and heaps of fun. Did not detour left to use the stem rest. Would make a solid test piece for the grade.

  Third ascent? This is a cool sustained route which is "on" from the moment you leave the ground to the chains. 5.12b is the official Palmer/ Brett grade. Not a soft touch, IMO. I predict some controversy in the future as to whether it is legit to get a stem rest over on the left before the last two bolts. I used it.
