Start as per GTA (face crimp and side-pull below it), climb straight up to T/O on the right. CONTRIVED - do not climb left to the arête first before coming back right. Left arête holds out.

I'll take the guide grade for this without much hesitation. Hard couple moves on really bad and sharp holds. I am pretty sure this problem is CONTRIVED - do not go left to the arête on the opening moves (as per GTA) before climbing back right into Veloce - this would make the climb easier. Climb directly up. I suspect this may explain some grade discrepancy
