The whole experience can be summed up as a painful adventure. The climb itself was amazing-- cool views, nice technical face climbing with a horizontal roof on the 3rd pitch. 5 star climbing. The approach and decent was entirely a different story. The trails are very poorly marked out and we ended up having to bush wack through cacti fields and scrambling through a long wash that had lots of loose rock. Took us 2hrs 45 min to arrive and 2 hours to descend with everyone in our party taking at least one tumble during the hike (I have some big scrapes to prove it). Full 12 hour day from car to car. Would probably be less if you had someone to guide the hike.
Each pitch seemed like the best 5.10 in Red Rocks. Amazing varied face climbing, consistent at the 10 grade. my favorite pitch was the double roof section! Climbed to the top and rapped off the back and into the watermark.
