Worst climb at red rocks and maybe the world don’t @ me. The obvious arete being “out” at the start and instead pulling on micro crimps to only end up using the arete for the top half of the problem is just dumb lol. I also feel personally attacked for anyone ever suggesting v3 as the grade LOL
Fun, odd moves. // Another day spent out in Kraft trying to recover - got the flash thanks to beta from Mike, did the sit as well and then went out to Bitch Slap to see how I feel relative to last year. Verdict: super, super weak. Gotta work harder!
By far the hardest "V3/4" I've been on. I've sent V6s that were easier than this (Monkey Bar Traverse I'm looking at you). Even after I managed to fire from the crimps (where rapping the knuckles was a distinct possibility) I still bailed transitioning to the top. I'd give it a better rating but it's just plain brutal and I almost regret sending it. Maybe the holds were better in the late '70s when the problem was established. I should add that the description says to go from the lowest crimps to the rails, so it may be contrived but using the arete early on is out.
