Total Compression – V7

Description:

This problem encompasses the whole boulder. Start left on the double jug, and climb up and right following the faint seam. This leads to some horribly slopey holds hidden behind the lip. Match and continue along, eventually topping out around the right side, on the right slab and arete. A real grovel match...chalk your forearms and knees.

It was worth the effort to clean the sand off the holds and get on this thing. Lots of fun! After re-checking the old guide description of this climb, I think I topped out 'too early' ... not sure though. I traversed the lip and pulled up over once i reached the right arete with my right hand - did not go around to the right side. This method seemed to make the most sense at the time... still probably V7? Ends with a beached whale T/O with sketchy landing beneath you :'D.
