Description:

Start as 'Pappa's Easy Chair' (LH jug on the arête, RH undercling in the overhang) and work your way underneath the arête to T/O at the peak of the boulder - same as 'Big Pappa Low'. CONTRIVED** - don't exit early and climb the face like 'Pappa's Easy Chair'.

Interesting climbing, even if a little contrived. Required a nice amount of technique and just plain hard pulling. Felt like a solid V6 once figuring out the beta.

Variation of the original beta which skips over the crux move on the razor sharp crimps making it significantly easier. RH bumps through the razors to the bulging crimper on the arret, then a big shoulder move to lock off and pull through LH to the pockets on the prow. Avoid the mega jugs on the face and the dab rock on the topout.

Fun process piecing this one together! Actually managed to send first redpoint go after sussing all my beta individually for about 40min. So...idk if the grade is off. I think 7 or 8 is quite likely?Good variety of grip types and movement techniques used on this one (sloper, crimps, heel hook, toe-hook). Contrived but it makes good sense. UPDATE EDIT - Julian found new beta. I was able to get it 1st go, but not without some try-hard ! Probably hard 6 now?
