A nice line with sustained movement. Barn door crux! // Three short sessions to get this one. First with Alex and Humma on a super cold, windy night to figure all the moves out. We had to use a pad as a wind shield in between attempts! Did em all, but was too scared for my tendons to try for the send. Ran back to the car cause Alex had to open the next day. Second session was a nice cool night with Alex and Humma two days ago, during which I warmed up, sent it from the second move to the top, and then proceeded to spend an hour trying to find some kind of key microbeta on the crux move to make it consistently doable for me, and completely failing. Left early, and after we got home I thought to myself "what if there is no way to make the move feel easier, and I just have to grab the hold and try really really hard to stay on?" Woke up early today, ate overnight oats, walked Humma, warmed up at Willow, hiked out in the 70 degree heat with two pads, and managed to send second go, just before the sun hit. Turns out the best way for me was to just grab the hold and try really hard to stay on. Psyched!
