Snowglobe – 5.12d
25m / 82ft, 9 bolts
Tried it 4 years ago and resigned to being too short to do the crux... Happy that I found creative beta to make it work! Or maybe I just got taller?
An unlikely and fun sequence low down and a nice fitness finish to the top... second go to the last hold, 3rd go to clip the chains.
Good climb, thick skin helps
second go after figuring out the crux beta
4th go. Man this climb is so good. If you like thin holds w good feet, you shouldn't have a problem on the 12d section. And 12a upper is really worth while.
2nd try, tech at the bottom and then cruising afterwards, really nice climb!
This was my summer project so pretty psyched :) first 12d
Sharp cruxes down low, but leads to easier and more enjoyable climbing in the upper half. 2nd go.
Gets better than the start..
Third go, surprise send after sending Burning the Coil. Way easier than the coil.
Took me bit to figure out the short-person beta in 30+ weather (and then remember it once I did argh!) but once I did, it went quickly.
Fun fact: you can climb this entire route without pulling hard on your right side. Teched it out on top rope and sent first go on lead.
Crimpy with a short crux, great route.
Excellent route. Love the lower crux section. Felt too tired to send, but found some reserves. 5th go. Psyched!
first 12d onsight!
Nice climbing with a distinct crux down low, but with continued fun climb to the top.
3rd try. purely the result of peer pressure from Mike and Miguel
Took a long time to figure out the lower section.
Neat climb! I should have sent it a few days ago! Last Thursday at the end of the day I gave it a working burn and manage to pull past the crux and was up at jugs only to remember that I hadn't brought enough draws:-(
super fun and technical down low. 2nd try
not sure how I pulled this one off.
Crimpy crux. Great line.
