  JohnD:   Left hand sidepull at shoulder height (sitting), right hand on very sharp large undercling; bump left hand up, then big move with right to a deep fracture on the slab, bump left up the arete, bump right hand along fissure, then pull up onto the slab....ta-da.

  larathompson:   Left on the only pinch very low top most bulge, right on the juggiest/lowest right undercling, I get a very wide left heel toe and then span maximally left (chest and throat into the bulge) to the far left end of the seam. I catch my weight with a smearing right forearm, then bump my right to the left of the bulge (careful not to go back into the tree and not to barn door in general). Bump right again to a face crimp; move left up to a jug in a higher seam. From there it was fine arete climbing, if a tad green.

  Groveled over this thing finally, now that the lower face has finished crumbling. So hard not to dab on those trees! Lost much skin to the blind feet under the bulge.

  The most bread-like pinch is now different (likely, based on other comments): so I started with a _worse_ higher hold than I would have liked. Being short (limbed esp) meant no kneebar and no direct bump to the seam! This is not a soft V3 (anymore? for my height/span?).
