A Propensity for Violence – 5.12d

40m / 131ft, 15 bolts

Description:

Multiple cruxes on immaculate stone characterize this monster pitch. Break right near the top of Campfire Vamp. The midway anchor is simply for lowering.

What a climb. I was gratefully spoon fed immaculate beta for the cruxes. 3 distinct short high tension cruxes with good rests. You can still blow it up top though if you don't manage it well. The traverse goes at 10c but honestly truly enjoyable in its own right. Stoked!

Fun cruxes with good rests which makes the route length more manageable. Also great rock quality!

What a mega pitch! Potentially my favourite of the summer. Three distinct, tricky sequences, separated by good rests and enjoyable movement, all on immaculate stone. If you make it to the first set of anchors, take your time to enjoy the scenery before starting up the second-half. You can lower to the ground on a 70m rope to greatly reduce the faff. 3rd go.

This is an excellent route. You’re in for a treat once you climb above the traverse.
