Jailhouse Rock – 5.12a

17m / 56ft
FA: Conall MacIntosh - 2026-04-27

Description:

17m, 9 bolts.
Sustained climbing on mostly crimps with a good rest after the crux and another higher up. It has a fun rockover move in the middle and finishes with juggy yet cryptic climbing on first glance. Fun and definitely worth hoping on if you're up at cell block

Not quite sustained enough to be 12a IMO. Maybe I just read it properly and had a low gravity day? Nice addition to cell Block though. Fun thoughtful sequences with good rests.

Get on it! Second go send, third ascent? Climbed before a significant cleanup from the first ascensions, likely higher in the grade after that. Really great crimping throughout and a send that revolves around a powerful boulder low down.
