Spent a handful of sessions on this. Figuring out the beta was pretty tricky and pretty frustrating. But glad I finally figured something that worked for me. Today was the day... 9 degrees and 85% humidity!

Pretty similar to Baba Hari Das, grateful to run into a nice dude who helped guide me through the finer beta details. Squamish has gradually turned me into a fan of lip traverses.

2024-04-22Pinching the crystals on the slopers was key for me -
Send train with Alex. Overstayed our session and the crisp sunset conditions soon turned into a slick dewy mess. Went from slipping off every move to somehow finding a good sequence and firing it off. Feels like a climb where you have to fight to stay on every hold until you find your sequence and flow through with ease. -
Really great climbing. Delicate moves on varying degrees of good holds -

Almost flashed and then proceeded to battle some very thin, seepy skin. Psyched there was a weather window while I was out this way.

Slimy flash a bit terminal. battle your way up the arete similar to ‘Baba hari dass’; but much easier. Thought it was overly soft so maybe I did it wrong who knows. Been almost a month out here starting to burn out a bit -

I could see that being a v7 with good condition. Did it on a 20+ degree day, I take the 8. Fun and not to bad once you figure out the feet.

Overlooked but fun

Surprised I got two new problems ticked today in an area I've traveled a thousand times.

My first go was really good, that might have been because I thought some guy was going to take his pad while I was climbing over it. -
I had to donate a lot of skin to this one.

The slab was never cleaned on the original send. If you stay on the arete it's an 8.

Felt impossible to get pressure into the hands until I found the right sequence of feet and heels for my height. Good landing but be choosy with your hand placement near the top.
