The Horticulturist – 5.12c

25m / 82ft, 11 bolts
FA: Toby Foord-Kelcey - 2021-05-12

Description:

The big obvious overhanging line at far right, above the platform. Named for Sally Foord-Kelcey, 1949-2021, prolific British garden designer trained at the Royal Horticultural Society.

This is not a gym climb. Many of the holds are exfoliating flakes that will rip off one day. Wear helmets to climb and belay, and do your own risk assessment.

Such a fun line! Bouldery weirdness down low, gym climbing joy up high. A destined classic

The low boulder problem was the crux for me here. Took my sweet time resting on the ledge and jugs, and the upper boulder problem felt pretty chill. A boulderer’s route - very not sustained.
