  First pitch is a choss-fest. Used one piece of gear for the crux pitch... a lot of fixed protection with hardly an opportunities to place gear. Not my kind of pitch, although the crux was fun. We opted to finish with the last pitch of Smeagol instead of the standard 5.8 finish. I had climbed Smeagol before, and it remains one of my favourite pitches on Yamnuska.
