So good! Definitely one of those climbs that gets its stars from its looks more than its movement.. but the moves aren't too bad either! /// Was the first climb I ever tried at Kraft, so it felt real, real good to finally top it out. Hiked out to it about a week ago just cause I was bored and wanted to climb on something without a hike - I hadn't tried it in over a year and was just coming from 2 and a half weeks off (due to my progressive guy fall incident), so I wasn't expecting anything, but I jumped on it and went to the top first go! The left hand crimp, which I remembered being just absolutely terrible, felt perfectly fine. Very cool feeling. But then I dropped off the holds at the lip. And then I then I did that again for two more days - I'd head out to Kraft around 5:30, hike the pads out to Black Hat in two trips, do Perfect Poser, run to Monkey Bar, do the Monkey Bar trio, run back, and jump on just as it was getting dark. I'd go to the top, and then spend a minute or two overgripping the holds, trying to find a way to do it where I would feel 100% sure I wouldn't fall, because falling from the top would mean landing behind my pads. Each time I'd get too nervous-pumped to calm down a think clearly, and each time I had to drop off. Was a bit frustrating. But then I went out with Luke on a day when we were both feeling pretty terrible, and sometime during my warmup I started feeling good, and then Luke started the send train (sort of) by putting down Monkey Direct in a couple tries, and then I jumped on Black Hat, and with a spotter and pads below me, the top felt very simple, and I sent! Also, Luke and I finally saw the lizard that Kenny told us lives on top of the Monkey Bar boulder - I think I nearly stepped on it when walking down.
