First time climbing in Squamish and on Granite. Spent some time searching for Shelter, it was drenched so I got on this instead. This climb was very humbling, i'm so stoked to add such a historical gem to my ticklist. Looking forward to my return to the forest, hopefully I'll have more then 4 hours next time.
Scrambled it! I think this was my longest standing Squamish project. It was a roller coaster the entire time of feeling close then being unable to do any moves, all the way to the end. Tried yesterday and couldn't do a single move. Finally stuck the first move today and took it to the top. The only time I ever did the first move was on the send. Psyched!
Whaaat!? I remember walking by this thing my first trip in Squamish and thinking how impossible it looked. So many thanks to Graham for some key beta and awesome support. Then somehow repeated it right after for les fotos...So psyched for my first 8a!
The first ""hard"" boulder problem I ever even heard of, 9 years ago...finally got to see this thing two months ago, and after many sessions of incremental progress the four moves finally came together. So psyched!
Andrea came to hang out and watch me boulder, and three tries after she arrived I sent. I must have been trying extra hard in order to impress her. This problem was a long time goal of mine and climbing it with Andrea there made for a magical moment. Also its probably a good thing I had a witness for at least one of my recent sends.
