1-Walk part way up skywalker trail 2-take fork right 3-take fork left, hop over log&pick up very WELL marked pink ribbon trail directly to boulder through beautiful vine maple terrain with no bushwhacking. You got this!
The approach itself is a V14 if you follow the guidebook. If you love bushwhacking in 7ft tall ferns and getting whacked in the face for over an hour then this is your jam. Not worth the approach, but we did find an easier way out by following a footpath that only took 20 mins to get back to the parking lot. Turn left at the “slight junction” instead of right like the book says. Maybe this makes it worth the hike? you decide. Felt harder if you’re small like me.
Nice climb. The approach might not be worth it though. Watch for ground wasps. There is a more direct route if you go straight or slightly left on a faint trail instead of the directions in the book that state "...after 50m reach a very faint junction and stay right." Travelling the ROW today was a straight thrash.
Not sure this one is worth the trek unless you are trying to tick all the Top 100s. Climb is not tall, pretty safe with one pad, and has basically one hard move. The V9 to the right looks like much more fun but was pretty dirty. Thanks to whomever cleaned this one this season.
