Whirlpool Boulders
Description:
A collection of large boulders just north of the Whirlpool Point Loop hiking trail. Some work has been done, but lots of potential for (ethical) development remains. Please be respectful of other people using the area - far more than just boulderers make use of the trails and cliffs here.
Directions:
View on MapFollow the well established trail North from the parking area on Highway 11 for approximately 15min (1km/115m elev. gain). The trail should take you along the East side of an old gravel pit, down into a small wooded area, and over Hammy's Brook. Hike uphill until you see the first of the boulders about 20m from the north (right) side of the trail (52.010397, -116.468680). A short trail connects to the main hiking/approach trail that will take you to the Maytag Boulder
