Sandstone outcrops above the Country Hills golf course and Beddington Creek. This site is a former quarry in the early 1900s, the sandstone from here was used for Calgary City Hall. Varying degrees of rock quality from very soft choss to medium hard sandstone. South facing so this area generally stays dry and warm most of the year. Do not climb when wet.
The largest sandstone outcrop is at 51°08'59.7"N 114°05'33.4"W, (51.149917, -114.092611) several other smaller sandstone outcrops exist slightly further north along the hillside.
Street parking nearby 51.153327, -114.092587 along Panorama Hills Heights NW. Then walk the Nose Creek pathways for 400 metres heading south towards the sandstone areas. You can also cut down below the small cliff band on some biking/hiking trails to get to the same areas.
