Description:

With arguably the highest quality rock of all Nanaimo crags, several fine, long routes and easy access, Northwood's popularity is steadily growing. A number of additional routes are under development. All routes are less than 30m except for Sunny Side Up which is likely 31m. Route grades still need consensus.
Be aware that there is still some loose rock on the routes so be cautious belaying and please wear a helmet.

Directions / Travel Info:

Driving north on Nanaimo Parkway, Turn left on Jinglepot Rd (south access). Turn left onto Kilpatrick Rd then right on Jameson Rd. Turn left onto Northwood Rd, drive until you reach the end and park near the locked gate. Hike up the gated logging road 100 meters and watch for a trail on your right. Hike up this trail, keeping a steady uphill line as you cross a few traversing trails. After about 10 minutes you will see the wall high above on your right. When in doubt, choose the path that takes you up.
