Just outside the city of Twin Falls, Dierkes Lake provides both excellent bouldering and cragging on solid basalt, complete with crimp edges, pockets, and huecos. Much of the area is a sun-trap, so climbing here is enjoyable even when other areas in Idaho are too cold to climb at. Summer can be brutally hot, however.
