Al Sharaf is a mountain park on the western slopes of Tanomah, Asir Province, Saudi Arabia. Tanomah is a historical climbing destination in Saudi Arabia, already host to a handful of adventurous single and multipitch bolted routes developed in the 1990's by Bernie Caddey and others.
The area features 42 unique lines and 11 extensions up to 8b. The crag, just ten minutes by car from the center of Tanomah, benefits from easy access, camping, favourale year-round temperatures, friendly locals, and most of the climbing ranges from 4 to 6c making this a great location for new climbers to gain experience.
The development of the area was undertaken by the Saudi Climbing Federation in the first phase of the Saudi Bolting Project between November 16th and 26th, 2018. Equipping team led by Read Macadam included Carlo Giuliberti, Piergiorgio Lotito and Alex Ruscior.
