Awesome climb, would do again. Jobear told me to shake my left hip like I meant it. So I did. Tried this about eight years ago, and once two years ago. Not a gimmie for the grade, imolol. Thanks to the usual partners in climb for the beauty hot day reunion here. 😘

Neat committing stemming! Channeled my inner inchworm at the top. Sunset walks outs with the bataan queens! 😘

Classic bataan style. Prickly, airy, long, fun, beautiful! Very cool top. Got 👻 on this three years ago. Nice to get back on. Long days, late nights up high with the usual bataan gnomes. 😜🦤🐾🦃

Flowy, airy, awesome! If you like aretes, cracks, being high, and just the right spice to keep things nice, then get on this. Sent hanging the draws today, thanks to the grippy rock, and inspiration from Usha’s v9 deep water solo ascent on the hike up. Thanks jobear for joining me on this gem today! Tried it two weeks ago, got back on it last week, and did the tour de hideaway take three today. Can’t wait for creek cold dips and champagne on our rest day.

Hideaway reunion tour kickoff show. Wear your 3D reading glasses for this one. Thanks jobear for hanging the draws, as Usha and I secretly shared notes on your beta and dodged the rock you tore off from all the winter training you have been doing. Loved the moment I figured out the name choice for this unique fun often passed by gem!

Fun and with a sprinkly of thinky-ness!

Lots of fun! Sequency section and a touch of pump! Thanks for the recommendation Jobear!

Fun climb with some cool moves!
  • 5.11a
Techy, fun and long! Super cool moves three quarters of the way up and neat cherts on the upper half! Definitely would recommend! Felt harder than the 11a we did at roadside. Awesome fall day with Ddog, Evy and the Jobear! Triple send! :) Pretty area and great for a sunny cool day!

Super stoked! Sneakily pumpy and thus aptly named. Sequency, techy, some tricky for me clips which pushed my headspace, and lots to keep me on my toes. So glad I got back on this climb after really not wanting to after a frustrating first go on Tuesday. The more I attempted it the more I enjoyed it, glad I gave it a second chance and would climb again! Three and a half attempts Tuesday and sent second go today. Another cute good luck tiny lady bug at the top. Thanks den den for hanging the draws, beta sharing, the catches, and headlight walk out on a super fun beautiful warm fall day! Echo continues to be as beautiful as ever :)

Tried this on tope rope in June, and felt hard and pumpy. Second go today after whipping off top on first go. Still pumperama, though flow and holds felt way better than a few months ago! Guide book says 11c, looks like 11b here, who knows and grading might be relative to grading of other 11s on this wall? Other than the holey shit pump factor for me, technically easier than handful of other 11cs I've done I think. Fun day with den den and Mera, and stoked we got out despite the not very optimistic forecast. Weather held for the most part. :) Great day getting pumped, and great wall for endurance training especially on questionable weather day. Think it would mostly stay dry in the rain.

Got spanked on this in Mayish, and came back for a round two. Crux still felt tricky though able to pull through with some pretty neat flagging and cool sequence.

Phef! Glad to get this done this season! Such a flowy fun techy gymnasticy climb. Would do again! Jumped on it a bunch last year in July and August and it felt hard though not impossible. Thought about it all winter. Jumped back on it once this July and getting to the chains was less of an epic than last year, and that scary clip felt a little less scary :). Got back on it a month ago and felt close, then again two weeks ago and very close. Refined my beta a lot, and third go send today. The process of working this out for so long came together and send go felt perfect. Hangboarding, rock mileage and mostly the supportive marathon belays last year and huge positive energy by the Jobear and send belay from Den Den credited! Second of the grade in one of my favorite places with my favorite people!

Steep and technical, varied fun climbing, with tiny cute good luck lady bugs hanging out on the rock today. Some parts very heavily ticked unfortunately (brushed off a massive arrow pointing to an obvious potential hold), and not all chalked holds worked for me. First half is kinda sort of my anti-style so this was a toughie for me! Tried it once in June and it felt so hard. Jumped on it again, twice, a week an a half ago, and still felt hard! Surprise send today. Thanks JoBear for the super great day, and for encouraging me to jump back on after falling half way on the second go today, and thanks JoBear and Den Den for the patient belays and positivity. Cleaning felt almost as tough as the climbing :) Fun climb, would love to get better at this style, and would do again!

Family of goats, hummingbird, and JoBear are awesome company!!! Yup! Should have brought the solar panel cookie baker today. Next time! Thanks JoBear for putting up the draws. Would recommend!

The brain rock reminded me of that time snorkelling, though that jellyfish that stung me wasn't there today. Oh wait, it was, at the top. Thank JoBear for being so patient as I worked out the moves. Second go and second send of this grade. Would recommend! :) Does anyone know if there's an intended way to climb the top? My sequence at the second last bolt appeared to be on route though definitely easier, at least for me, than the other option. I'll still take the send, though will try it the other way next time!

Superb long fun climbing! Must do! I love the various movements and flow on this. Great day with Jyo!
  • 5.11b
Super fun, with techy bottom and fun upper half! Tried this in 2017 and fell on the last one or two moves. Got back on it today and pumpy first go. Thanks for the belay sis!

I think this is the climb I did! Thought it was sister ray indirect start, though now think it was this one! Was hard to follow the bolt line, maybe it was just me! Thanks for hanging the draws Jyo!
  • 5.10a
Enjoyed this! As JoBear says, the wasps don't mind you if you don't mind them. Fun!
  • 5.10c
Fun! Thanks for convincing me to do one more climb todayJyo!

This climb made me a better climber in so many ways and I learned so much from the process of working it, a sign of an exceptional route. Constantly engaged from start, middle and end. Bouldery (for me) start, techy burly middle, and the top was no gimmie for me and definitely exercised my headspace! This line has everything, power, delicacy, solid water worn rock, and interesting neat varied holds. Even unique beautiful petrified wood! A hummingbird hanging out too on one of the days. Can it get any better?! Started direct, working my weakness. Thank you den den for encouraging me to jump on it, for the patient belays, sweating it out hiking up over the past week in the heat wave, and for that key foot beta that I initially said didn't work for me and, in the end used on the send ;)! Sent after 7.5 goes over four days working it, with good temps and poor skin! One of the first times seriously projecting something and first of the grade. Thank you Lea and Bonar for all the work put into this beautiful mossy wonderland.

Pretty fun! Note to self, climbing in 30 degrees is easier than plus 37 degrees. Who would have thought. Good times sweating it up pockets with the JoBear!
  • 5.10c
Would recommend! This climb is tougher than it appears, at least to me. Make sure your belayer is attentive as you move off the ledge to the third bolt. After that, it''s sneaky pumpy thinky fun!
  • 5.11a
Kinda of funish! Not sticky like velcro at the bottom! I felt like I was climbing on a freshly waxed floor. That traverse exercised my headspace. In the end, that'll make me a better climber. I felt bad about the bird's nest in that big pocket 3/4 of the way up, though it seemed empty. Now I'm just complaining, probably the heatwave. There are a lot of nests at this crag and I feel bad for the birdies!
