I did that FA so feel obliged to reply to comments on the grade. I agree it’s probably more like V8 in terms of technical difficulty but when grading it I considered the fact that a grade is supposed to be for an onsight, and this is a heinously difficult line to onsight because you can’t really check much of it out from the ground, unlike a lot of problems where you can almost wander around me feel most of the holds before pulling on. Onsighting this line requires that you commit to a bit of an exploratory adventure and some of it is pretty serious, hence the V9 instead of the V8. Love the fact that people are getting on this. I agree it’s a classic and that more people should get on it. The climbing is beautiful, delicate and a little bit scary. Thanks for checking it out.
