Kind of a unique line to the slide in my opinion it’s sort of compression, lip traverse and a bit of stem climbing all put together (most likely depending on beta). A fun climb that’s for sure it loses a star for me because the end feels slightly odd but at least it’s an easy top out!

One of franks only roof climbs and it did not disappoint, I will most likely repeat this one a few times when I’m in the area just because it was so much fun! Not sure if it’s been done before but you can avoid the left heel hook beta with some dual toe hook action on the lip!

A very fun line in a very unique setting!

Guidebook doesn’t give the best description for the route. The big dyno move is fun and holding the tension to bring the left hand over to the lip is cool as well.

A nice way to warm up for some of the burly stuff in the area! The cross move into ladybird roof is pretty fun!

Fun start with an interesting sloper shelf but it’s a little short and odd on the top so it lost quite a few points for me.

You can do a bat hang variation and that makes this route extremely fun. With this beta option I’d compare it to the butterfly kiss V3 in red rocks for enjoyment! I repeated this route and plan on repeating it any time I’m in the area!

In my opinion this is a very underrated problem in the slide. I’d go as far as saying it’s a contender for one of the best lip traverses in all of Frank, the rock quality is superb and the line flows so well without any “odd spots”. The only downside is the dab rock at the start and I don’t mind the big one underneath the top out because if you are feeling too pumped you can just step down onto it!

Such a perfect line the start to get into the stand is slightly challenging and then just for fun you can throw yourself into a full resting upside down knee bar on the one big flake for a little added style! The end is a little tricky if you choose not to finish in the slot and it oddly takes away from the grade if you finish in the slot it feels like a softer V4 but if you choose to go over the lip to the sloper/crimp then it gives it a more solidified grade and almost pushes it to a soft 5!

Oddly fun and better than it looks, holding tension under the roof and making the first move out to the lip seems to be the crux, I went for the variation that finished on “the grand bouldero” instead of the “surfs up” jug!

Fun warm up on perfectly sculpted holds!

I saved this line for the very end of the session and after spending 6 hours working other lines it felt very pumpy but I managed to fight through it. With full energy it’s soft for the grade and the top out seems like it’s going to be kind of lame but it’s oddly enjoyable and different from any other style top out I’ve done!

Long and pumpy but oddly enjoyable it’s a route I’d go back and repeat personally!

Hands down one of the best lip traverses I’ve ever climbed, this thing gets tons of traffic so it’s surprising there isn’t more ascents logged. I overheard some locals discussing how this could be V9, I personally find lip traverses are my cup of tea so this was fairly chill and it was the fastest I’ve ever worked a V8! Would highly recommend sending this one if you are a fan of traverses!!

Such a beautiful rock it’s one of my favourites in red rocks, the climb itself is probably a lot more enjoyable if you do the 360 spin mantle but I stole Tristyn’s beta and opted for a engaging heel hook with a palm press then popped to the lip. 3 stars for how I climbed it but 5 for the beauty of the rock averaging a 4 for me!

Super chill intro to the first crux of tortoise and the hare and then you take an early exit on a nice juggy hueco finish!

The features on this rock are very unique but the climbing can seem a little daunting from the sounds some of the holds will make while you are climbing!

Nice warm up!

Best lowball in all of red rocks, a true area classic.
