Correcting an incorrect climb name (added by someone else)

Hi there,

Under the Little Cottonwood area, I see the climb “Black and White Tom and Mary,” which is incorrect and should be “Black and White John and Mary.” I have added the correct climb name to the db, but was wondering how to remove the incorrect climb?

Hi Jordan – there are two ways.
#1. You can edit the climb info (while logged in) and change the name. This sends the change to a moderator for approval.
#2. You can flag the incorrect climb as a duplicate of the correct climb, which also comes to a moderator for approval.

Since you’ve gone ahead and created a new climb already, I suggest you do option #2.

Go to either climb and click the “Flag as Duplicate” button. Then choose the other climb as the duplicate. Wait up to 48 hours for changes to be applied by a moderator.
