**Humpback** (62m) is a 2-3 pitch sport climb located near the Mount Wells parking area. A 70m rope is recommended (12-14 quickdraws). Take the left hand trail from the parking area and turn right at the first switchback up to the base (5 minutes). The route can be done in three pitches but some will see the opportunity to link the first and second pitches together. The route has been climbed in one pitch using a 70m rope. There are plenty of bolts on interesting rock for those new to leading. The more seasoned can skip bolts if desired.
Pitch 1 - Begin climbers left on a delicate fun traverse (5.7) or climbers right up steeper rock (5.9). Both join to finish at station one.
Pitch 2 - Traverse right and climb upward on joyous holds (5.6). Climb up to a ring bolt station if you wish to top rope or move right at the *second to last* bolt toward a station on a ledge below the “humpback”.
Pitch 3 - Climb directly up quality "tricky” rock (5.10c) or traverse right to the face (5.8).
