There are some blank areas on the maps in the Western Washington Bouldering Book. These instructions should fill in the gaps. The Mayflower V1 Boulder will be visible from the trail. Go around the left side of the boulder and do some winding over smaller talus but trend to the left. After a while (1-2 mins) you will see a Devil's Club patch (maybe 10-15m long). Bush wack through this path which will trned uphill. The Dropping the Chicken Boulder is within 10m of the end of the Devil's Club Section. FYI, our group approached from the trail at the 3.8 mile mark as indicated in the guide as we were told that the log crossing is no more. The Skynomish River Gauge was at 800 cubic ft/sec and there was no easy way to cross after the Atomic Streak Boulder.
