This short, overhanging wall is located in the narrow canyon just right of the approach trail to Doctor's Wall. These sport climbs are savage and steep and appeal to those that prefer power problems over endurance challenges. In this specific genre, a few of the pitches are quite good, but there's not much here for the sub-5.12 climber.
Conditions:
Except for 'The Flying Wallenda Brothers,' all routes face east and get a certain amount of morning sun. There is, however, a fair amount of tree shade in this narrow gully, so the small walls don't heat up too quickly. A number of these pitches are steep enough to stay dry in the rain.
From the map kiosk in the lower parking lot, follow the main hiking trail to the base of The Fortress. Once there, turn right and follow signs that lead to Red Tail Wall and on toward Doctor's Wall. Just beyond the north end of Red Tail, the trail passes a toilet before continuing uphill on the far side to a small plateau and a signed fork. Turn right as if heading toward Go Anywhere or Great White. The trail immediately descends into a narrow gully-Tsunami Wall is on the left-han side.
