The boulders are accessed via the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway which is a 15 min drive outside of Palm Springs proper. As of Nov 2024 the cost of the Tram is $35USD and $15 USD for parking if needed. You can reserve a spot but there is also walk up. It is a 10 min ride up the hill. There is wifi at the top and bottom of the hill if you need to download topos. Once you get to the top of the trail, head downhill on the switchback trail and go to the Ranger Station to fill out a free and mandatory Wildwrness Permit so the ranger know when you'll be back. The first Tourist Boulder can be seen to the left of the station if you are facing the station door
