A very nice selection of hike in granitic boulders that are located near the town of Gibson’s on the Sunshine Coast.
Boulders are located roadside at 2.3km up from the port mellon hwy on the McNair Creek forest service road. Due to locals bringing, burning and shooting garbage the Road is now gated and a 2km hike may be required. The same group of three unsavoury people responsible for the much of the ecological vandalism were caught in act by boulder development team several times over course of about six months while shot and burned up items continued to accumulate and each time reported to RAAP line plus the Sechelt RCMP. These culprits were visited more than once after said reports by the “authorities” but never held accountable for their actions. The ministry of forests chose to bar access to every vehicular user with tax funded gate installation at bridge.
If you visit give a hoot and don’t pollute plus be very careful with fire.. stay on trails to prevent damage to tree roots and undergrowth, do NOT dig out landings and also it’s a good idea to carry bear spray.
