Although mainly known for its ice routes, some sport climbs have recently been developed here and there is significant bouldering potential.

There are two main options: hike in from Waiparous, or in from the North Ghost along Bastion Wall.

The former is just under 7 km and begins with a creek crossing (on foot, as the banks have been furrowed to prevent vehicle crossings). A cutline runs uphill before dropping down into a boggy meadow leading to the cirque drainage. Hike time is about 1.5 hours.
