Probably the most popular crag in the Nordegg area, and some of the best climbing as well. Routes go from 5.8-5.11d with potential for a lot more. Mostly vertical climbing on limestone pockets with lots of interesting roofs and cracks to deal with as well. Bring bug spray and a helmet.
From Nordegg drive east on Hwy 11 towards Rocky Mountain House. After 5 km, you will pass a sign for the Beaverdam Provincial Recreation area on your right. 100 m past the Beaverdam exit, turn onto a gravel road on your left (North). Follow this usually good gravel road for 1.6 km to a small parking spot on the right in the grass. The cliffs are visible above the cut block to the West. Hike up the left side of the cut block and follow the trail into the forest on your left. Continue up switchbacks for 100 m of elevation to reach the cliffs. A 60 m rope and 12 quickdraws will get you on all of the sport routes here.
