Redneck Shooting Gallery – 5.12b

20m / 65ft

Description:

With monster sized moves between big holds on seriously steep terrain, Redneck is quite a departure from the typical Smith .12b. Start in the middle of the cave blasting up past four bolts shared with The Sound of Perseverance before taking a sharp right into the crux launching rightwards into a huge hueco at the lip. Continue right on the easy exit slab to the Immortal anchors. The name derives from some dork(s) who tainted the rep of the shooting sports community in the winter of 2012 by using the perma-draws for target practice, requiring the replacement of several. Sharp. All jugs but so sharp it's hard to hold them in a way that's comfortable leading to more pump than expected. For me, the 2nd draw was reachy to clip from any reasonable stance.
