One of the most classic bouldering locations on Icicle Creek Road. This offers two classic V4s (Fridge Center and Fridge Right) as well as a classic V7 (Fridge Left).

Center Stage: A long sandstone cliff with a great landing and tons of climbing opportunity. Most climbs here are eliminates due to the nature of the rock, but many of them are still high value. Stage Right: A small group of sandstone boulders just South of Center Stage. Estuary Roof: Some of the highest value climbs. Climbing at Carver requires a membership with the Carver Climbing Club, as it is located on private property. Ask at the Portland Rock Gym or Circuit Bouldering Gym front desks for more info or sign up here: [http://carverclimbingclub.org/](http://carverclimbingclub.org/) Climbing without this membership is damaging to access for everyone! The landowner has threatened to cut off access more than once. Please don't endanger this local resource. Portland's most convenient bouldering area is located about 30 minutes from the city center. The style is slick, technical, powerful climbing on small, rounded boulders with awful holds. Often burned as a tiny area, Carver actually has quite a few good problems buried under moss and disuse. Brushes (nylon, never wire!) and a sense of exploration and discovery will serve you well here. If you're looking for bigger, harder problems, with a more remote feel, you may wish to check out Bridge of the Gods.

This is a smallish, mainly sport area near Eagle River Alaska. Park at the Eagle River Nature Center and hike about 40-45minutes to the wall. Check the Alaska Rock Climbing Guide for a map and better directions.

Steppes is a large area with interesting features and a good view of Nanaimo. Its a small gorge with large boulders in the center.

Major lake located in the center of Bowen Island.

Made up of three boulders. The main 'Hideaway' boulder is in the center. It has decent landings and the majority of the problems, but the top out is quite dirty and crumbly. The other two boulders flank it, one to each side, named appropriately the 'Left Arete' and 'Right Arete' boulders.

NOTE: Currently the big boulder in the center with problems 1-7 (detailed of pages 29-30 of the guide) has been painted to look like a huge Tyrannosaurus Rex head on it with a sign saying 'No climbing' next to it. This essentially seems to apply to problems 1-4 as it's just that side of the rock. EDIT: As time has passed the T-Rex has faded quite a bit and the 'no climbing' sign is gone. I'd ask Mike about it but it seems like it may be fair game again.

A great sector with a lot of fun problems, deep in the slide on the north side of the highway. The best approach is to walk into the House Area, near the Captain Obvious Boulder, follow the trail northwards past Aftermath into the treed Valley adn up the trail bearing right once you get to the top, towards a rubble topped boulder. This is Beautiful Struggle. The valley full of talus below & to the east is the Heart OF Frank. Straight across the talus valley is the massive Dragonfire Boulder (aka the Mushroom Boulder), which overhangs on three sides. Classics in the sector include Race to the Top (V3), Rhythmic Gymnastics (V5), and Mushroom Campus (V3). Be respectful when you climb here, it is quite visible from the Visitor's Center.

A small sandstone amphitheater with a dramatic overhang in the center. Rock quality is solid. Good top rope access.

A small area with about 20 climbs. The center line is soft 13a. It is the most asthetic line and may have fixed draws on it. There are easier climbs on the left and right side of the main climbing wall.

Sits at the bottom of the wash, facing the parking area. Comes into view once you walk down the approach trail. Should be easily recognized by the huge roof in the center.

Amazing featured blocks smack dab in the center of Castlegar BC.

Located in a beautiful open field above the valley, this new sport crag offers excellent climbing and has an abundance of routes for beginner to intermediate climbers. The rock is hard brown quartzite with lots of iron, which makes the climbing juggy and enjoyable on sometimes pretty steep rock for the grade. Routes tend to be just off vertical with some small overhangs on some of the harder lines. West facing, sun shines on the wall at around 1pm most of the year, an impressive tree can offer a lot of shade on the crag's left side, and a batch of smaller trees offer some shade in the center and right end of the venue.

The following nine routes on the Jungle Slabs are a latticework of lines on the center slabs located down and to the left of the massive roof. Most can be described as “wandering.”

Al Sharaf is a mountain park on the western slopes of Tanomah, Asir Province, Saudi Arabia. Tanomah is a historical climbing destination in Saudi Arabia, already host to a handful of adventurous single and multipitch bolted routes developed in the 1990's by Bernie Caddey and others. The area features 42 unique lines and 11 extensions up to 8b. The crag, just ten minutes by car from the center of Tanomah, benefits from easy access, camping, favourale year-round temperatures, friendly locals, and most of the climbing ranges from 4 to 6c making this a great location for new climbers to gain experience. The development of the area was undertaken by the Saudi Climbing Federation in the first phase of the Saudi Bolting Project between November 16th and 26th, 2018. Equipping team led by Read Macadam included Carlo Giuliberti, Piergiorgio Lotito and Alex Ruscior. Material: Raumer Superstar 10mm x 80mm and 10mm x 100mm 316L stainless steel glue-in bolts with Hilti RE500 V# epoxy. All of the lower-offs are Raumer Superstar 10 x 100mm 316L combo chains with a fixed stainless steel carabiner. More initiatives of the Saudi Climbing Federation can found at climbing.sa

Tanomah is sure to become a must-visit climbing destination as climber benefit from easy access to the rock, comfortable camping, favourable year-round temperatures at 2,000m altitude, friendly locals and huge scope for climbing with both sun and shade options at all grades. Wall of Shadows is located in the Al Sharaf park, just ten minutes from the center of Tanomah in Asir Province and a quick ten minute walk from the first crag and parking/camping area. Equipping at the Wall of Shadows was undertaken by the Saudi Climbing and Hiking Federation during the second phase of the Saudi Bolting Project in 2019. The team: project leader and author, Read Macadam, A. Mountaun Guide Piergiorgio Lotito, accomplished climber Alex Ruscior along with Federation's board member and climber Abdulrahman Alabdu equipped 40 new pithces between October 7th and 21st of 2019. The stone at Wall of Shadows is solid sandstone with magnificent granite and quartzite infusions. The climbing differs from the initial crag, Al Sharaf, in that it is entirely in the shade and therefore comfortable to climb all day and year-round. The style of climbing at Wall of Shadows ranges from immaculate slabs to steep physical climbing on pockets. Because it is in the shade, moss and lichen grows quite quickly.
