Zach Y: First off, every video I have seen of people calling this an 8 are doing it with the far right heel and no sit start. Sit start with the close heel felt like no problem at all. Definitely think it's easier, even if you're tall. Sit start with a left foot on a really good little spike way underneath, right heel just wherever on the right hand hold ledge. Go right hand up to the crimp, then switch the left foot to a toehook on the kind of spike straight down from the crimps to bring the left hand in. Then go left hand up to the good spot, take out the toe hook and put the left foot on the good spot low on the face. Keep the right heel, but bring it out to where you started with your right hand so you can sit high on it with your hips high and close to the rock. Then locking off and going right hand to the slot is pretty casual and the top is over from there. -
Lena laitinen: Pull up into a left toehook, and then place the right heel. Dicked around with the closer heel for 1000 years prior to trying this. -
Alan Ly: Don't cheat the start by crouching with the toe hook on, instead of sitting down. -
crystalshei: right toe around on the big heel hook ledge to get the big left hand move

Greg Bauch: Use a left toe to stabilize yourself for the first match. -
wendy l.: I start with my heel up and a left foot smear on the wall. It's a pretty straight forward climb the rest of the way up. The left hand lock-off with the right heel still positioned on the start is hard and technical if you are short. I'm only 5'3" and I'm able to reach it with focused positioning of my left hand and a pulled in right heel.

I started croutched rather than seated, a better climb in my opinion with the far right heel, so it felt more like a hard v6/soft v7.

Seems rare for squamish variants to be so similar to each other but definitely is a different start, basically this way eliminated a couple moves because I could Start with the toe. Both Are so good and I just had to stack some v’s

crouch start not the true sit. Do I care? No this climb is amazing the way I did it (and seemingly everyone else does it).

Crux is starting as a true sit start and then sticking the first move. Fun climb. -

Finally!! A nemesis from last season. Such a sweet line! Refused to start crouched, so I could fire the whole boulder from the second hold on repeat until I eventually found a way to make the first move from a sit; pretty stoked!

Was trying the climb with the far right heel but was lectured on the sit start so had to change my beta. Turned out to be an easier start for my size! So thanks, I guess? -

I’ve heard a lot about people not doing a sit down start for this. So I made it an effort to start with my butt on the ground so I wouldn’t get in trouble hahah either way, great boulder with fun moves and a sic toe hook. -

Definitely easier than top 💯 v8 in grand wall area. But to be honest, comparing these two and Gibbs' cave, Idk. But this one feels even easier to the left one, I think.
